About 3 or so weeks ago, I was on the entrance ramp of a highway. Depressing the clutch to go into the third gear.<p>!! BANG !! loud noise inside the car.<p>What the... Where is the clutch? I am desperately feeling around with my left foot trying to find the clutch. It had hit the floor.<br>I then realized something had snapped, and a spring had pulled the clutch into the floor.<p>I had to switch the car off to bring it to a halt.<p>Time to call Audi Roadside Assistance....<p>It turned out that the Clutch Pivot had given up.<p>Luckily the car had 46,200 miles on and was still covered under waranty. ('96 A4)<p>Has anyone else had a similar problem?<p>Is there anything specific I need to ask the service people to look at before the car goes out of warranty?<p>Thanks.<br>
