Dealer to replace car with only ~700 km (~420 miles)
Ugh, in my ongoing saga with the car I always wanted - the dealer is going to take the car back and get me another one - if they can find one that is close to what I have (so far, the santorin blue is out of the question now as silvers are the only choice - don't want to hear anything of "silver is faster" blah blah blah).
This so called bearing that was the root of the all evil is actually the bearing in the crankshaft. Long story short, it should never have made it into the engine as it was out of tolerance, the crankshaft thus had some play in it which caused damage to both the engine plate as it rubbed against the engine block itself a bit and other damage was caused within the engine. Engine will be replaced this Thursday.
I suppose that I'm getting great customer service from the dealer here in Toronto as they already started to look for a new vehicle without me asking them and the technician telling me everything and showing me the problems, but at the same time - I'm pissed with Audi themselves for allowing such a bearing to pass their quality assurance.
I guess I should change the "no outlet" in my sig to "no car".

If you want to get the car you've always wanted
then don't settle for anything other than the EXACT car you originally ordered. You were presented with a defective car which means to say you never actually received the car you paid for. Tell them you'll be patient but stand your ground. Anything short of that and you've let them off the hook.

True however...
... after waiting for five months for it to be built and delivered, and really enjoying it for a good 2 days then with another few more days but with the knowledge of "something is wrong" I can live with the silver exterior (second choice but still santorin blue is the best in my opinion). The options must remain the same though I can live with a few extra options if one does pop up though I will not pay a single dime for these extras.
Looking through what is available in Canada - the picking is really already slim and won't get any better that what I seen today.
