Default Do you really need a special wrench to remove the steering wheel???

The time has REALLY come to replace the headlight combination switch. Supposedly, a specialty 12-point metric wrench is needed, but maybe I can get away w/o one...
TIA

Default Yes, but I think the 98's you dont need one..

Just remove the airbag, by accessing 2 screws behined the steering wheel and once its removed you will see the big bolt..

Disconnect the negative battery terminal before removing airbag!

Default Those two screws holding the air bag on are threaded in *tight*

Took me a while to work them loose. Should require a Torx T-25 to do the job. After that, it's no problem.

Default That's funny, when I took my sport steering wheel off...

I was surprised by how easily the torx screws holding my airbag in place came loose. Go figure.
