neuspeed sells this part for the transverse engines to replace the 'pancake' pipe that is currently found on our cars. is there an alternative for longitudinal engines?

i'm not exactly sure how different the transverse and longitudinal pieces are...
the stock 'pancake' versions look pretty damn similar. it ain't much.
yeah, so i have to remove 4 bolts to get the engine out and i'm done. i'm sooo almost ready to put the new engine in. have you ever worked with fiberglass or bondo? i was thinking of shaving parts of my engine bay to smooth things out (like the battery tray) before i put the motor in.

EH.
you'll have to stop by sometime to check out what i'm talking about. it's nothing major, but it's something that would look pretty nasty if i didn't do it. this car's go AND show. i'm trying to do both at the same time.

How close to the top of the engine are the support "eyelets" located? I want to drop the subframe...

If anyone has ever separated their bellhousing from the engine let me know, and I mean on purpose :)
