Does anyone know this person? Sent them $ for an item that was damaged and phone is dead...
I purchased an item from this guy, an ottinger spoiler, he said it was damaged by the post office, and he would send me my money back, the phone number appears to be dead now and I havent gotten an email response back.

after the spoiler was damaged everything seemed cool he even said...
"Dude,
Let it go. We already talked about this. I am refunding your money and
that is it."
I think I'd of gotten it now, that last correspondance was on 8-1-03.

Don't know him, but I did almost buy it..
...he's had that thing for sale for almost a year. So did you see the damage yourself? Maybe he's waiting for the PO to refund him.....but that still is no excuse for not responding. Good luck

or maybe he has been "selling" many of them and pulling the same crap who knows....
I even asked for a damn phone number for the person when sending the money and now thats backfired.

did the damage occur in transit to you? So you mailed it back, and you're waiting for a refund? Maybe he hasn't gotten it yet? Or maybe he got it, and your money is in the mail? If everything is being done by the pony express...two weeks isn't outside the realm of reason.

I bought a part from him not too long ago and..
he said it would fit my car..well it didnt and he said ok just send it back and ill refund your money. well after i sent the part back he emailed me and said the box was damaged when he got it and he would not refund me anything and he sent me back a broken part. I was a little skeptical at first but i still filed a complaint with UPS about them damaging it. But now you really have me thinking!!
