Say what? Exactly what are the liability issues of a floor mat? I think there are a few other items that pose laibility issues... say, like the gas tank. :-)

Floor mats sliding and getting wedged under accelerator/brake...you can imagine the problem

Mainly because people we placing them on top of the standard floor mat, thus adding thickness.
