Does owning an A4 (or other nice car for that matter), ruin anyone else's
nights out on the town?
Call me obsessive compulsive, but I worry where it's parked and what harm is coming to it.
I actually have little worry about it getting stolen; I seem to really worry the most about inconsiderate folks dinging the car, or worse, keying it.
I need a life

I am getting a new one soon and am worried about getting dings. I have had a few new cars but this will be the nicest one yet and door jobs and scratches I will be worried about I'm sure.
dan

We drive the beater, but...
I have the "deluxe" clear bra. It was the do-it-yo'self type. Just a coupla 6 hour days and a few cuss words. OK, it was awful. However, it has proven to be most valuable against bug splats, stone chips and light rubs. I couldn't recommend it strongly enough.

Tell me about it!
My girlfriend has become tolerant about this. She lets me choose which car to take - the A4 or her Civic.
Thus, every evening out begins with careful weighing of options: is the drive long enough that the fun of getting there in the A4 is greater than the hassle of parking/worrying/checking/obsessing? Or will the "Civic-ness" of her car be such a bring-down on the way there & back that I'll not be able to enjoy myself?
Life can be *so* difficult sometimes!
*sigh*

Same thing! I'd love to drive the A4, but for enjoying the night
I like using the (shudder) minivan. Not to be image concious, but I'd MUCH rather pull up to a nice resturant in the A4, that the "whipped middle aged" car.
There;s gotta be a better way, less stonegarding the entire frigging thing.

Went to a bar the other night.......
And parked in a new closer lot which I had never parked in before. I just had a bad feeling so I left and moved the car to my usual spot a long way from all the drunks walking home. The rest of the night was great after that. Still dont know why my friends think I am obsessed with my car ;-)
Matt E.

Totally agree! That's why I'm looking into a second car. (maybe a Saturn LW1)
