Driver's window died... give a once-over and tell me what you guys think
Ok so my window stopped responding on me. At least its rolled up atm
There's kind of a barely audible click but that's it. all the other windows work fine and I've tried the key with the same results.
Before it died it was acting kinda squirrely, it wouldn't roll all the way down (stopped about with about 2 inches to go), and it would also sometimes cause a loud (really loud) buzz through the speakers when rolling up.
The window got broken a while back and I had to have it replaced, I'm thinking some piece of glass might have gotten stuck in there somewhere as I was finding glass for months later.
So its pretty much either the regulator or the motor, right? I'm thinking the motor... anyone know about how much they run and where to get one? Thanks....

a complete sentence would be great, thanks.
empty posts with 5 words or less in the subject aren't very helpful.
It's like no one here knows there is a whole other field for the body of the post.

Did you change the regulator last time?
The clips break all the time but it should last longer than that. The regulators are relatively cheap (less than $150). I would take the door apart and have a look.

id guess it isnt the clip, the motor would still run wouldnt it? *edit*
I would take the door panel off and look in there. You can run the window without the panel hooked up by using a paperclip on the harness, at least that way you can see whats going on. enjoy, windows are fun It could be glass in there too and hold it back making it think the window is all the way up/down. get in there and look. I just fixed an 87 acura legend window that a tooth was slightly bent (differnt setup than our cars) but that tooth made it not move at all, and there was only the clicking sound as well (we thought it was the motor till we saw the tooth)

I'm pretty sure the regulator was never changed. I remember it going up and down just no glass.
Looks like the door's coming apart tonight! need to test out that motor anyway...
