ECU or Speed Sensor?

Default Re: *THAT* is NOT a speed sensor issue. I mentioned that before you stated you had spark/fuel.

The timing belt was done at 96,000 km. The car now has 118,000 km. Do you think its the ECU?

You need to Vag-Com it and get the codes if any. Period. Don't just throw parts at it.

Default if you truly have fuel and spark and no start, you have a compression issue

i.e. snapped timing belt.

However, I am doubtful of whether you really have the first two.

It is at the mechanic's right now, I have spark and it is getting fuel. The timing belt was done at 96,000km and the car currently has 118,000km.

Thanks for your help. It will be getting hooked up today. My usual mechanic doesn't have the machine to hook up my Audi, looks like it will be getting towed to the nearest Audi dealer.

I don't think you would get spark with a bad ECU though, would you?

Check the Vag locator, there may be someone near you who will do it for beer/pizza/few $$.
