Default Waste of money...a hand port job is more worth your effort

just use an exhaust manifold gasket to draw the areas to grind away...then whip out the dremel and go to work...that will get you 3~5 HP for real...the hone won't get you **** w/o porting.

Default I'd try something heavier duty than a dremel

I used to port turbine housings and exhaust manifolds for Talons used in rally races. The Dremel is not going to work very well for porting, especially if you are talking about one that has been on the car. What I used was an air drill and plenty of oil to lubricate the parts (kind of like the second reply above!). Also try and wear a long sleeve shirt, dust mask, safety glasses, and gloves. The work isn't that difficult but those metal shavings get into your skin after a while. I am not sure how much extra hp we gained from the porting but it really helped out with the spool up time for the turbo. If you've got the turbo off anyway I'd suggest doing it. Try practicing on the outside of the manifold first to get the hang of it, they usually have some casting lines on them.
If you have any more questions let me know.

Default Trust that with enough time and patience it CAN be done with a dremel...but you're

right something like a die grinder like tool will go a lot further...if you're going to sand and polish afterwards the Dremel really kicks *** IMHO.

Default With a die grinder and a good carbide bit....

...and a guy who knows what he's doing, it shouldn't more than an hour. You really won't want to use a Dremel for the brunt of the work...it's just not made for it. Good luck..
