A few alignment questions....
I have almost 100k on my 99.5 1.8TQS , and I now have some serious suspension/alignment issues.
My alignment is way off. The inside off all my tires are worn away in about 15k. Guy at the alignment shop said i need a camber kit b/c i installed 18'' wheels (even though I have OEM sport suspension) Does that sound right? Where can I get a kit (For little $)? Also, my Lt rear tire has chunking on the inside corner of the tire...what would cause that?
Anyone know of a good alignment shop in the SFV??
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Re: A few alignment questions....
Adjustables would be your best bet to truely fix the camber problem. Rear adjustments on a quattro A4 are pretty wide, you should have enough adjustability to correct the camber there without any extra parts. We can get you the front upper adjustable control arms with either stainless steel ends($695) or steel ends($550).
What tires are you running?

Wheel size is an important factor in suspension alignment.
If you went from 17" OEM wheels to 17" aftermarket wheels, there wouldn't be a problem as long as your alignment was good to begin with.
It's possible you just need an alignment. If you have one done, and the camber specs are still a high negative value, then I'd say adjustable uppers are a necessity. With OEM suspension, your camber values should be less than -1.0 in the front, and less than -.8 in the back. Also, there shouldn't be a difference of more than .3 between the left & right wheels.
Also, toe can give you inner edge wear too. Bigger wheels will in effect raise the ride height of your car, and will conversly change your toe angles by doing so. I'd say since you already had an alignment done(right?), what's your angles? If not, maybe get one done first?
