Default If he tuned TightTT's car, that means he's reasonably local to me.

You seem to have done your research - if Uni, GMG, ctapp etc. cannot write a 2.0/GTXX basemap and plop it onto a CH-box, who in the Mid-atlantic region (Possibly, MD?) could?

I'm not sure exactly what the challenge would be - a custom dyno tune would be best - but I'd imagine they can certaintly generate a basemap for a 2009cc motor. GMG's turbo kit post, a few pages back, implies that they are ready to provide software for many iterations of 1.8Ts, from stock internals to 2.0 builds...

Default Have you ever seen some of the builds on Motorgeek or S2 forum?

What I've seen elsewhere makes building a 2.0 20vt seem like childs play with a reasonable return on investment.

Default Jeff's in CT. UNI can and does have the basemaps to do what you want.....

It has more to do with Turbo choice than the 200cc's of displacement, which would be a consistent to tune around.

Default AEG, 83mm is custom order for pistons indeed. There are a few sets floating around.....

I can ask a buddy if he still has the set he had JE make before he got into a MK5 Gti and sold the B5.

Personally I would rather do 1980cc using 92.8 strike and 82.5 bore with readily available parts, which is what I did.

Phil side note did you manage to hop on the VW deal for long blocks last week? A buddy picked up 18 AEB's

Default 83mm JE's are considered "custom" but are sitting on their shelf

they even make a 83.5mm bore which is what I have been running since 2002 and just put in a new set in 2006.

Default yes because he is the only one selling BAT setups

Oh wait he hasn't sold any. I have already moved 3 full package BAT setups this year :P

I even hooked some B6 owner up with a fully built 2 liter with built AEB head from Eurocode that only had 1000 miles on it.

Default I have been talking to GIAC about doing just that

since most of the people that I deal with all run fully built engines and GT2871r to GT35r turbo setups.
