Freaking A!!! I think my Alternator just went out on me!
On the way home from picking up my Slave Cylinder and Input shaft seal, my battery light came on. Sure enough the Voltage Gauge Showed 12.5V. I Babied the car home the last few miles, and suprisingly the Voltage still showed the same 12.5V after approx 20 min and 10-12miles of driving on motor alone...
Does this sound like the alternator to you guys? The Battery is a new Interstate Battery (3 months old).
Should I just pick up a BOSCH Reman from NAPA? or what?
TIA

What accessories did you have on? 12.5 is still + voltage, which means you are charging...
albeit not a lot. Check the connections, and check the voltage with a good volt meter.
Could be a bad voltage regulator..

my problem last wk were worn brushes in the alternator.
my shop replaced the brushes to avoid me having to shell out money I didn't have for a new alternator. Problem solved. Would prob be best to replace it if it needs replacing.

VR from Blauparts ~$50 IIRC
easy DIY, hardest part is getting the alternator out. Somebody on another board said that you can replaced the VR on the boschs with the alternator installed in the car. YMMV
