Gone to the "Dark Side" Flame Suit on as you read this.. more :)
I have been considering selling my '99.5 2.8QMS for sometime now and finally someone was more than happy to take over my payments. I know, I know, how could I do such a thing :-( But just got married not too long ago, looking into buying a house among other things and my "play money" just isn't there as much anymore!!
So I decided to look into used cars, and guess where I went, a Bimmer, '94 525iA (ouch, stop hitting me!) Anyway, got a really good deal and always like the way the "old" E34 bodies ('89-'95) looked and handled... So I got it!!
To be honest driving "my" 99.5 2.8QMS Santorin over to it's new owner was bittersweet. On the one hand I was saving over $200 a month, not to mention the lower insurance costs and on the other hand I will still having that Germanic experience.
So what can I say the car rides great, a little more room and as much power if not more than my 2.8, though taking a tight turn the other day I "missed" the 4 wheel "pull".
Well, I will still lurk here from time to time (why not?) this is a great board! Actually a little more friendlier than the Bimmer board And this may sound superficial, but it's also a lot more visually pleasing, layout, etc.
So this is not farewell, I will still sneak into the local Atlanta Audi meets if y'all will have me..

no judgement from me, but i don't want one. go ahead & post your pics ....
see if they reside long on picture poster, before the modulators find'em. don't reveal the content in the subject line, it'll be an evil experiment!

BMW is a great ride. You will be happy with Germanic attention to detail and sporting characteristics as Audi's are renowned for. If you can get over the snobbery of some BMW owners (not mentioning a certain little snot kid's name) you will enjoy it for year's to come. I have been a fan of BMW's and Audi's for years.
Hope to see you back here at AW in the future!

Don't be a stranger. Enjoyed getting to know you at the APR BBQ (the ride back too).
The 5-series Bimmer's have always been one of my favorites. My best friend just bought a '95 525i last weekend too.
