Greedspeed ECU, no low end torque?
I just inherited my wife's 97 Audi A4 1.8T. I installed a Greedspeed ECU + high flow air filter about two years ago. At the time, the car felt strong with ample amount of low end torque and very satifying top end power. I rarely drive the Audi between then and now, but that car is mine now since I sold my BMW.
I noticed the car has even less torque than my old 92 BMW 318is. I called Greedspeed to see if there is a newer version ECU to address this problem, but they have only one version since introduction and they suspected bad bypass valve or worn spark plugs were the cause of my problem.
Are they right or do I need a different chip all together? They also sell "high performance" bypass valve, worth it?
