Greyhound - you were right, the SP8000's are horrible in the snow!
Although tonights snow is very wet, slimmy, and slippery, I thought that I was locking up my breaks way too often. ABS is horrible in this snow too by the way.
Definately buying some really, really good snow tires next year.

That is exactly where I had the problem.
The brakes would just "fail" Now we know its actually the tires. There were a couple other conditions that are trouble but braking in the snow is a big one. It sneaks up on you and then you end up sliding into an intersection. Not fun.
I get really scared when on a trip and it snows. I don't like to drive snows on a long trip. Its a battle.
