Raced a big bad Trans Am convertible tonight... I was just in a mood to play...I was returning from dinner with the girl that bought me at the Brotherhood auction for my fraternity...So we went for dinner and ice-cream(in december??? argghh where is quattronium?????)Started talking about her car..and how she gets it up to 100 alot (acura integra..i would be scared doing 100 in that thing ) Well so i say..wanna go for a little drive...We get about 15 miles out of the city...Long stretch of highway..have only seen one cop on there in about 6 months...70mph limit...I get to about 100...and see a car up ahead..so I slow down and as I am passing it.. I see it is a convertible Trans-Am...(made sure i checked rear badges and side molding)...and so I gunned it a little...didn't bite...I slow down a little..get on the gas...still doesn't bite. So I give up...I am doing about 90 or so...and I see the lights, just off my bumper, jump....and come up quick..I get on it...He pulled a little..and by the end of fourth I was just infront of his rear wheels...then into fifth..and i crawled up on him...by the time I was just above 130 I had him just off my back bumper..Then he hit the brakes...So I followed suit...Threw on my hazards to tell him good race, and pulled off of the highway..made a U-turn and returned to school..looking like this

Here's a quarter, tell us another one.
What year was the TA? If it was a LS1, he wasn't racing. I can drop mine to third or fourth, chirp the wheels and leave you standing there looking stupid. I've done it to plenty "tight" German cars. Ask the guy in the A4 1.8T who thought he wouldn't let me pass him on the highway last night. Oops, I guess he learned a hard lesson. And before this turns into "import vs. domestics 2001", I know there are plenty of faster imports out there. Too bad there aren't any in my area. And for every fast import, there's 5 faster domestics. I don't see people drooling over a 20 year old honda. Now a Yenko Camaro, that's a different story.
