Default No offense but Bilstein sucks IMHO. WYSIWYG swapped out that combo after 1 autoX

I agree with his decision cuz I raced it =P

Default I don't think it makes a differece til traction reaches 9/10ths

Which I never attempt to reach on the street.

Default I was thinking in limited traction situations .. i.e., snow or fresh rain on oil slick roads. More

emergency manuvers etc. Anything to be gained or lost?

Default Well - race tires will cost me twelve points in my local VW/Audi club classifications....

and would put me up against the race-prepped cars like stripped and caged Sciroccos and Rob's RS4. I'm comfy in D class for now, with the modded S4s.

I didn't go with coilovers cause not one of the setups out there eliminated the push from the car - they were all even spring rates front to back, or worse, softer int he back than front. :-/

So.....I can't corner weight or anything. I'm not willing to run more neg camber all the time on the street, and this is my daily driver.

I just want the ability to put more power in the rear coming out of the hole.

Default It might help or it might hurt. I dunno.

I think the stock split is more forgiving.

It'll certainly help a lot for track driving but my point is it won't do so until we approach 9/10ths of the traction envelope. IMHO a proper chasis setup(suspensino, aligment), tires are more important than the diff. When all those are maxed out then the center diff upgrade would make sense to me.

Default But at the track you're 9.9/10 all the time.

and I occasionally hit 9/10 on the street if traffic's not a problem.

Default Understood that. I was thinking it might be less forgiving on the road so I was curious if that was

your opinion as well. Thanks.

Default

This is a CENTER diff mod, not a tranny mod. Adjusts fore-aft torque bias.

Default They were fine. Not enough low speed damping IMHO

damping increases non linearly with shaft speed. It was pretty good for fast transitions like slaloms but otherwise too soft.
