'Bahn Burner

...my GF just got a $115 ticket for doing 80 mph in a 65 mph zone. She's willing to pay it, but I think because it's her first offense & over the age of 21 (barely), she can have it reduced if she goes to court.

She said it was such B.S. because she was 1 of 2 cars picked out of 4 that were going 80 in the passing lane, basically "sandwiched" and moving with the flow of traffic.

What do you think, does she have a chance of contesting it?

they'll say if you were caught in the flow of traffic, you could have (1) just obeyed the speed limit and slow down, or (2) change lanes to move with the slower traffic. its happened to me before. there's always 'something' you can do to avoid it. damn cop bs!


but on the other hand, it is her first offense, and she is a woman, so they might let her off.

Agreed, it just seems unfair they wouldn't pull over all the cars going 80 mph.

when i was 17. i should have just drove away and let him worry about the others! but then they probably would have gotten away, and i would have gotten nailed! but i agree, all or nothing. it sucks when they pick one out of the bunch (and it happens to be you!!)
