heh so my alignment is totally fvcked....
i need to remeasure the tie rod end lock nut distance as my steering wheel is about 30 deg off center when im going straight.

You replaced the tie rod end with a different part # than what came off didn't you?
If so, chances are they are different lengths and any measuring would not get the new one back on keeping the alignment. How did your upper control arms go?

iirc theyre the same length, but i might be 1 turn short of where it was...
either way it needs adjustment. as for the control arms, i need an air hammer to get the pinch bolt out...once i get that out i can replace them. untill then im fvcked with a clanking car that sounds like a NYC taxi bombing down the avenues.

Could you turn the bolt head? That would help break it loose in the steering knuckle
I was able to do that one one of mine, but I still couldn't hammer it out. Another one the bolt head broke off, and the nut broke off. I had to drill it out.

Note to self (and forum): Wailing on pinch bolt to replace U/F control arms will throw off alignment
