Default Help, My car starts but then it dies, no throttle response what so ever....

I have a giac chip, could that be the reason. It died on the freeway today. At first it won't start but now it does for like 2 seconds and then dies. I hit the gas and nothing happens...help me out..

Default Any lights coming on? ...

Is it idling, but gas does nothing, or does it shut off?

Any unusual sounds?

Did you do anything weird?

Default Sounds like an immobiliser problem

My Euro spec 1.8 used to turn over for a second or two and then die. The little orange immobiliser light will blink if it is the case. Only solution was to get out the car, lock it, unlock, try again... and again... and eventually it would go as normal.
