hey quattrofrog... what exacly do you do at the dealership?
and how did you get the job?
I think i want to get a job at the audi or bmw dealership this summer. I know key people at both, but i was just wondering what your situation is like.

What exacly do you do at the dealership?
Well..I look up ETKA to see what parts i can upgrade on my A4...(dealers cost/my cost..etc) Ohh and when i feel like it/some times i ansewer the phone to help customers.....

I'm a parts counter person
I order parts for the technicians & for customers both wholesale & retail. Oh yes and I spend about half of my day talking with the techs... a quarter on the phone w/bodyshops and the rest of the time doing paperwork or other misc Tings like researching parts compatibility in etka.
I was almost hired by another dealership as a service advisor.

truth is that the parts counter is the ultimate position for a mod freak like me
I know what is going out and getting replaced... I know what is coming in and when its arriving.. I know what everything costs, I know what we've got instock... etc
I get to research parts I know what body shops have tings that i might want and be able to buy from them for a few bucks...
One of our techs wants that HID capsule & ballast.. but he isnt gettnig it because he is an ******* to me... I wont even sell it to him.... btw this is the same tech who pissed on my car when I gave him a ride home so he could make it to work the next day rather than driving his own car and crashing & burning.

You need to jump over to the "service advisor" position
Then...We can say we have a "Mod friendly" dealership in NJ. Do u realizy how busy$$$$ your dealership will get. Everyone from south, Central North and NY will be getting service done at your dealership$$$$...
