Default How have all of you secured your boost gauge to the a-post? ....

I have had my autometer pod held to the a post with velcro, doesn't work too well. It keeps falling off, not to mention the pod doesn't fit very well at all. I'd like to avoid drilling holes in the a post but it looks like that may be the only option. Any ideas or reccommendations would be appreciated.
Sidenote, the boost gauge is really cool, i keep finding myself watching it instead of the road.

Default Sounds bad but

the only way I could get mine to look good was to remove the cloth, Rivet the housing to the a pilar and fill/sand to make it smooth...It has to be very smooth.Bondo and sanding but after you re-cover with factory cloth it looks perfect..

Default What you can do is buy U-Clips from a place like Home Depot and...

...clip it to the A-pillar that way. Also, use a heat gun or hairdryer to heat the pod to the point where you can better mold the mount to the shape of the A-pillar.

Default U-clips are a nice alternative to screwing the pod into the pillar.

The clips are shaped like "U's" and hold the pod to the pillar like a paper-clip.

Holds better than velcro, and cleaner than screws.

Default Couldn't tell ya as I've never used them on my A4...

...but did use them on my friend's Z. Seeing how relatively small they were, I doubt you'll them once the pillar is mounted in its place w/ the pod attached. The clips will be hidden by the weather stripping and the black outline trim of the windshield when viewing from the outside.

Keep in mind that you'll have to remove the pillar to use the clips to attach the pod to the pillar.
