Do it, I just got a laptop and the program today. It is lots of fun. My wife thinks I am crazy.

whats the program? how do you hook up a laptop to your computer...?

it's a program for PC/Laptop (most commonly used on laptops) That Emulates the VAG 1551/2

Diagnostic tool. Basically you order the cable from ross tech and download the software (less than 1 mb i believe). The cable starts out as a serial cable on one end and ends up as a diagnostic cable on the other, you just plug the diagnostic cable into the port in the bottom of your dash and you can read all of the info on the various computers in the car.
