i dont understand this whole hks bov craze with ecs recirc kit, why would...
you spend all that extra money when it will ultimately serve the same puprose as a DV valve and not give you the sound anyway??

it's supposed to respond quicker.
and if you look at the construction, it seems like it would last longer. Personally though, i don't get it either - why use a bov if you don't want the sound everynow and then? i mean, i can see why someone would by the hks ssqv and leave out the insert when they don't want the sound. but i don't see the point of the recirc kit - the car works fine with the bov & without the recirc kit. save the money and just remove the insert when you don't want the sound. it'll just sound like any cone intake without the insert.

because the BOV, when adjusted right, is not open under vacuum....
unlike a DV
It's possible, that if the valve is closed, it could help spool the turbo faster.....
Then again, maybe it does nothing....

It has to open at some point during vacuum.
Same with a bpv.
The problem with the adjustable bov, is that people tend to over tighten it so that it only opens during high vacuum which can cause damage to the turbo. This is the #1 issue that the bov companies get from their customers.
