I got off the phone with Jeremy down @ APR. Talking to him about thier software and what I have.....
I explained to him that my car is chipped and was when I bought it. I still havent found out what make chip it is, by the way, no markings, etc. I then told him that I was thinking of switching perhaps to APR's chip. I mentioned the reason for my wanting to switch was that fact that I was getting some pinging on hot days and other situations. He replied by saying "You are kidding, you're engine is pinging, I've never heard of anyone pinging with APR software." I thought that was a very bold statement and was wondering what people had beed experiencing with APR ecu upgrades. I want to move to Either GIAC or APR, and eventually want an upgraded turbo. GIAC has the free upgrades so I am kind of leaning with them. But, I may go with APR stage 3. Keep in mind that I only have access to 91 oct. fuel in Southern Cali, if that makes any difference. What thoughts do you guys have? TIA!

I chose APR because all I'd need to go stage III at this point would be the turbo and manifold...and the clutch if I want it. They offer free upgrades over the internet, if you have the adapter, or you can go to your tuner and have it done.
The other companies are all highly qualified, and have good products, or they wouldn't last long in business. I chose APR because it seemed to me that more people here used that chip, and I heard positive things about it (and the others, too...).
Do your research, check out all the options, map out what you MIGHT think about doing in the future, and see which company suits your needs best. You likely to be happy however you choose.

I still like APR best.
