I have an 01.5, but traded ECUs a few years ago From CH to M box are there any Problems with this?

Should I try to get my hands on a CH box again?

Default Yes, shouldn't run you more than $200
Check car-part.com for Audi A4 engine computer.

No issues at all you can even flash a CH program on a M ecu just not the other way around.

and that's what he's asking to do -- run an M box in a CH car, which is a no-no.

What Problems can in cause??? is it really worth getting a CH box for $200 then re-chipping

Default Not at all Jeff. A 01 with a OEM CH can run an M and even run a CH chip/flash on an M.
Without a single issue.

Default Not IMO. I had no issues to speak of at all for ahh 8K miles....
when running a M box in my 01.5' that came with a CH. Granted I just grabbed a CH for my BT programming, but I needed another ECU so I could keep driving and not have issues with bringing the car in after the install. If you are going to order one just to feel safe than do so, but I would not myself.
