I need help...I have STFA, but keep getting 16687...
and 16684. I have a 2000 A4 1.8tQ. I have changed my coil packs 3 times and I have used every spark plug known to man. After I change the CP and SP the car runs wonderful for about a week, but like clockwork I start getting codes after a week. Could this be a more major problem like a bad head? Any ideas? Please help. I really really want to avoid the stealership.THNAKS!

Isn't that just a cylinder 3 misfire?
Is it always cylinder 3? If you move the coilpacks/plugs around does it still misfire on cylinder 3?
If it does, it's either the power output stage or the injector on cylinder 3.
If it doesn't, it's either the coilpack or the plug.
It's unlikely to be the head, but you could check that out by running a compression test. All the cylinders should be within 5-10% of eachother on a compression test.
