I think I just got jerked by the dealer...kinda long...
My car was overheating, so I dropped it off at the dealer....
I call that morning, and they say they're working on it, I call at the end of the day, they say they've been on it all day and can't find the problem...
The next day they call and say it is the radiator, and it'll cost around $800 to replace. I ask how much it would cost if I were to just take it and get fixed at my local shop(which quoted a price of $450), they say at least 4-6 hours of labor at $85($350-510).
So I decided to leave the car...now I'm calling to see if they're done, and same story "we've been working on it all day"...and I have a feeling they're going to jerk me on the labor fees once again...
Does this sound legitimate? I know it's late in the game, but is there anything I can do?
I dropped off the car last Wednesday night...and it's still at the dealer.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
TIA!

all those who have been jerked by a dealer, raise your hand...
my car was stolen from the dealer while in for service.
after the car was recovered, it took them 3 months, and 4 trips back before they fixed everything right.

damn...sorry to hear it...
but sadly, this is not the first time I got jerked, and not the first time from this dealer...
I bought the car here, and serviced it here for a bit, but left because of the royal jerkings...but then gave them another shot, since the've changed their whole service dept., moreso just the location...but at any rate...I guess I should learn my lesson well, and move on.
anyone have any experience with the attorney general? (an audi person, elsewhere had this suggestion).
