I think I'm just going to stick with the stage III+ over the EVO.
Now, knowing APR's timing issues, do you think it would be a better idea to just go stage III now, and then upgrade to stage III+ when it finally comes available and is tested for a bit? I know monetarily it's not such a sweet deal to buy the stage III, then upgrade, but if I'm going to do this, I would not mind getting it underway. While APR said the + was a few months out at the BBQ, I'm more inclined to believe it's more like a year out. Any advice here?

I'd wait. The install is a PITA, so save yourself the hassle, or the cash if you're thinking of
paying a shop to do it. Of course, that said, it is easier the second time around The biggest reason to wait: those in the know suggested that the price of the 3+ for transverse cars would be only ~$500 more than the current 3, but the upgrade for long cars will be in the $2000 range.

Are you Drive by Wire?
The Non-DBW kit is 6 months out according to APR.
I made the decision to go with the Stage III now - At least that way if the thrill wears off I can go Stage III+

it'll take you 6 months to get delivery of a Stage III nevermind the +
EVO oWnZ Stage III+
Heck, the + is a few months off, then with their superior part making and part stocking skills, and the amt of kit queens with endless cash wanting to upgrade...
you won't have one for another year...year and half.
