I'm going to be having the timing belt changed soon, is that the time to have the snub mount changed

Default I'm going to be having the timing belt changed soon, is that the time to have the snub mount changed

Also, where is that mount actually located, in the front of the engine?

Default Yep, good timing. Also may want to consider electric fan kit.

Yep, the snub mount is right in front.

i recently did the tb work, plus snub mount... haven't had the chance to do the writeup yet...

Default along those lines... i've been seeing people say that the purems mount is better than the APR.

b/c the APR one requires shaving and still causes some vibration. that true? is the purems mount really that much better?

Default would the larger size account for the vibration people have reported?

i guess i should just search on it, huh. ;-)

the way the snub is designed to function is what produces vibration. There is alot of "slop" designed in the stock mount, hence it sucks up the vibration and doesn't transfer power well. The snub mount is stiffer, so doesn't suck up vibrations as well, but transfers power better

and the stock mount is prone to splitting into two.
