Default I'm thinking about turning to the darkside.

I test drove a new M3. Black. 6-speed. Truly vader style. It really amazing how hard those things run. The ride home in the A4 was so........ whatever. It doesn't really matter. Stage III or M3? I find myself asking this question often, and I can't find a better reason to drop the Audi like a bad habit than buying an M3, but I just can't let go that easily. *banging head into wall*.

If the money isn't a problem, then get what makes you happiest. Personally, I find a modded A4 or A6 to be a better bang for the buck. Just wait til you see the insurance premiums on an M3. 8-)

Default It's not so much the money.

It's the practicality. It's completely worthless in the winter, impossible to not worry about parked, and quite the money hog. But still, it offers a sensation thats hard to replicate. I would like to do a stage III, but the time frames I have gotten from APR are anything but consistant. It's frustrating.

Don't get me started on APR (see my thread from yesterday).

There are other companies selling stage 3 kits. I've had a very good buying experience from PES. Check their timeframe.

The M3 is a nice car, but really expensive (and as you mentioned already) not very practical if you actually need to go places when the the weather is suboptimal.
