injector problem?

Default Re: You made it sound like swapping the injector took care of the CEL but that now the car smells of
the exaust smell has been a problem for almost 2 YEARS, the injector started sunday. i usually never have a CEL( i do get them more so in the summer for a evap emissons control usually)

they did swap the coils to that injector

Default the icm was replced under warrant summer of 03, that a 400some dollar part isn't it? would the whole
thing need to be replaced? would that part still be under warranty because it is newer?

You can buy them for around $120. If it was dealer installed, I'd contact them first.

Default The shop did the right things when troubleshooting this condition,
but didn't go far enough.

Default If you aren't getting misfires and you no longer pop a CEL the POS isn't likely to be bad.
The main symptom of a bad Primary Output Stage is misfiring
