Default Instructions for installing a defi d series boost gauge?

Hey all,

I got a defi d series boost gauge and am wondering how to install it. I think it's an electric gauge since it's got 2 wires coming from the back of it. I guess the only thing I need to know is where to connect those 2 wires.

Also, where are you guys connecting your vacuum hoses? I was thinking of using the same line that's connected to the BPV at the front of the engine by using a T splitter...is that the best place?

TIA

What you're asking conflicts with each other.

Default The wires are probably switched power and ground...

The vacuum line will work on the BPV hose coming from the intake manifold like you mentioned. Read the AWE install instructions that should help out.

Default Well yeah. Any gauge should have those. Why would you want a gauge you couldn't see at night?

He made it sound like it was one he could hook up to the MAP sensor instead of vac lines, then asked how to hook it up to the vac lines anyway.

Default not explaining that before sure wasn't a help

I said "I think it's an electric gauge", not that I'm sure I have an electric gauge but how do I install the vac line.

Default this place is more than a database

there are people who are here to help if needed. What's the point of having a forum if people can't ask questions?

Don't give me the search BS...I've apparently been on here longer than you. Sorry if I sound like a jerk, but it pisses me off when people tell me to search. Don't assume I haven't already.
