Default Intergrating Bluetooth/Phone

I have an '01 w/ the Symphony radio. I was curious if there was a way to intergrate my celphone to be used w/ the stock telephone pre-wiring? I think my car is wired for the Audi phone, since it has the phone jack in the armrest compartment.

Also, where is the phone mic? I thought it was the little grille on the B-pillar, but that appears to be the ultrasonic sensor for the alarm, or is that incorrect?

Default What Bluetooth kits have people been using? The writeup is for a Moto kit that is a few years old..

will the instructions be pretty much the same for other kits out there? Also, is the only wiring that I would need to do in the trunk? He makes mention of a unit in the dash, but it seems that might be unnecessary? You can tap into the wires needed for the phone speaker from back in the trunk, no?

So what kits do people like? Thanks, as always.

Default the kit doesn't matter - the basic connections i outlined in that article are the same

doesn't matter if it's a Motorola kit or a Parrot kit or some other kit. they all use the same connections!

Default it's up by the sunroof control area... see that little grille there, the mic is behind there.

do NOT use the OEM mic w/ a 3rd party kit!!

refer to this article on how to replace the OEM mic w/ the BT kit's mic - about a 1/3 of the way down. this a great guide to that step:

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec95.shtml</a

Is the mic just "not good" or is it incompatible?
