It's all put together...but i get the check engine light..how do i access codes?

Default It's all put together...but i get the check engine light..how do i access codes?

...through the climate control panel as per the article in the tech section? If so, i can't seem to get that to work. Press and hold recirc button....then press manual flow up or down and 1c should appear...right? I get nothing when i do that. I wonder what i forgot to reconnect...hmmmmmmmm

Default i found one thing disconnected...but i still get the CEL..help

...so i checked it again and found i forgot to connect the plug near the bottom of the radiator. plugged it in, started it up, still get the light. so i disconnected neg. terminal for a minute...then reconnected and started it up and i still get the light. is there another problem or can i not "clear the code"?? thanks...

Default ummm that works for me, hold recirc, and then hit the up arrow.

but you still can't clear engine light codes
without a VAG tool on a 97'

Default works for me bro... we just can't reset our codes or anything like that..but

we can read info off the climate control display.
I like 17 -- displays speed digitally in KM/H

Any chance you damaged one of the connectors while removing front assy?

The light is OFF!!!! After a few start-ups...it went off...whew..
