Default I've acquired two S4 cat-backs for free. One is OEM, the other is a 3" SS APR system

My OEM 2.8 A4 exhaust is starting to rot out and will need to replaced soon. Since I have these two systems laying around should I make one work? Both would only require me to add a bushing or reducer to matchup with the cats, so I don't think the install will be difficult. I'm not expecting any performance gains, but I don't want to lose any either. I hear about loss of low end torque with lower back pressure, but haven't seen any data.

Is the SS 3" APR one just too friggin' big?

Which one should I use? neither?

why not sell both and get one thats made for your car?

PLEASE!!

I have been trying to find a set-up that is not too loud but with decent performance.

Let me know, I really would love it and could send you my 2.5 inch Neuspeed resonator and muffler, FWIW they are a lot quieter on a 2.8. Now that I have a big turbo there is simply too much air going through them at higher rpm's and they get raspy. Before this the exhaust had a great sound.

I'd cover shipping and make it worth your effort $$ ! ;-)

Hadn't been following your Neuspeed saga. Too loud? Not enough air?

Default It's a bit raspy at 3/4 or higher throttle. Too much air flow thru it with the big turbo.

The exhaust system can't quiet it down enough. It's not bad really, just I am getting too old I guess. ;-P

It flows well and I LOVED the sound when I was just chipped.
