I've had a very severe love/hate relationship with my car over the past 4 years...
but the other day I had someone rekindle my love. I was talking to a guy looking to get into an A4 3.2 avant. total enthusiast, but not really informed on alot of things so we BSed for a while. After i realized he actually was in love and as much of a nutcase about his car as i once was i started telling him about the Q7 and the RS4 coming out and how topgear rated it better than the M3 etc..etc... He got so excited on the phone I almost started laughing cause i couldnt keep him talking about one car for more than .5 seconds... each sentence was about a different audi's features or whatever...but i realized at that point that i was the exact same way back in the day when i first got my car and how great that was. It made me reflect back on all the hardships ive had and how each time something went wrong it was worth fixing, no matter how large the problem was because of the sentimental value i place in that damn A4. the memories I have from this car are priceless and i fully intend on keeping this car long after I can retire it to the garage and drive somethign else daily...it will be the first car in my car collection because of the memories and no matter what gets parked next to it, it'll always hold a special value above all the others.

2nd to that
I have both love and hate relationship with my car. I can not give up the car, yet I hate it when problems keep coming out which drives me crazy. Perhaps I need to go visit a psychiatrist.

Tell me about it...
...actually, it's been like that just the past 6 months.
It started out with a boost leak.
Then the caliper needed rebuilding.
Then the tire shredding.
Then brakes and rotors.
Then the motor mounts.
Then the dipstick tube disintegrated.
Then N249 valve needed replacing.
Now, my passengerside hid bulb blew and I'm getting a CEL for my O2 sensor. TRE's are about to go, I need a new pair of brake pad retaining kit for my brakes, and a new suspension.
I don't know about you, but it's so hard to enjoy the car when something's "off" about it...
