My dealer said it was a big job.... whatever that means
Alignments are like $160 at a dealer I think.
If you have the tools and a helpful/handy friend you should be able to do it yourself, then take it in for the alignment, thats what I plan on doing.

thats right, and its so very very wrong because I call that overcharging.
Independant shops will do it for under $200
**** If you are in the NJ area I'd help you do it, just for the experience.
The last place to have install sport springs is the dealer. They probably wont even touch non-audi springs. I am pretty certain of that. That is if you are talking about the dealer.

That's why dealers hate it when you wait...
...it's hard to charge you 8 hours labor when you see them pull the car in @ 8:00 and out @ 12:00.
But many will still try unless you call them on it...

Well, figure a good shop will have to ...
Charge at least 4 hours of labor (say $90 an hour?) and $100 for an alignment?
That's $460, add tax, or for quattro it might be 5 hours.

I've watched many mechanics do spring installs in under 2 hours.
But, and allignment does take a good hour for a decent job. Screw the dealer, find some mechanic who knows his stuff, and offer his cash and see what happens.

Matt, was < $200 here at Turner Motorsport in San Diego + $45 fror allignment at Beeline.
Good luck - I'd find a speed shop close by and check them out. It's not rocket science I watched him do it, and except for the spring compressor it's cake.
