just got "interviewed" by police (more)
Since I dont have official Junior status here at Drew, I have to park my car in Madison (NJ). So I have to walk down to my car. I turn is on, let it warm up a bit, and as usual, I open the hood and take a look, make sure everything is cool. So im peering under my hood, and I hear, "Excuse me sir". I look around the hood and there is a guy, dressed in jeans, regular civilian clothes, with his badge and police I.D. out. So I was polite, asked him if I could help him.
He asked me if it was my car, and could I prove that it was. I said yes, pointed to the keys in the ignition, and showed him my registration.
he then went on to tell me that Audi's are the most stolen car between Newark, and Rt. 287. Nothin I didnt already know.
I didnt mind him asking me questions and showing him ID just because I felt that he was making sure no one was losing another Audi. as a side note, he was driving an unmarked Crown Vic.
now that i think about, my paranoia is kicking in and saying, what if he wasnt a "real" cop. bah not a big chance of that i dont think.
just a write up of what happened to me 10 minutes ago =D

Same thing happened to me
I was on Mass Ave in Cambridge, heard a odd noise from the engine bay, pulled over and popped open the hood. Next thing I know, a policecar pulls next to me, and asks me to prove the car is mine.
At first I was slightly angry, but I figure they are just trying to help aid the plague of stolen audi's.

With all the critism i hear on AW, i better hear some applause for law enforcement from this post!
Good cops looking out...people here complain (this is NOT directed at you Blake_R35) about stolen Audis...well i better hear people applaud the fact that the cop saw something which looked suspect, and moved in to question.
I was at a restaraunt with stickerboy and others a couple weeks ago, and we were on the ground removing foglights, etc...sherriff's truck pulled up and questioned us to make sure.
Cheers,
Sameer
