if you have a 98 or 99 then you have the problem.

sounds about right mine went at 62k mi. about 100K km.
as they start to go you'll here a loosness in front end, over bumps. if the sound turns into a groan it's time to change. $750 us. at dealer in 2000.

clunking or groaning in the front end is the usual suspect
Don't go replacing just because you hear there is a problem. Make sure they are actually bad. Don't go to the dealer if you don't have to. Buy a new set with grease fittings and have them installed by a local competent shop.
