DBW chip, I've read all about how it is hard to write software for them and so on and so forth. When it comes to DBW chips, in your opinion, is one better than the other. I have done searches, and I've come up with a zillion topics that don't answer my question. So, I'm sorry in advance. I guess everyone has to ask a question that is sure to ensue with flames at least once right?
TIA

giac and apr are the favorites here..
they both have pro's and cons. apr seems to be smoother and you have the option of more modes with ecms. check out www.apr@goapr.com. giac's chips seem to be a bit "edgier" and you hit the boost a bit harder and a bit faster. i, myself, like giac. for MY 2001, especially. a lot of people have different opinions and these are just mine, so take them for what they are worth

GIAC 1 Bar chip is wonderful for the 2000 models...
I was running one for over a year until I changed to a K04 set-up...it was great powerful and smooth...
Very little issues with 2000 models...
Key thing is having a local chip dealer...in case something goes wrong...
And as a back-up having a spare ECU and a VAG-Tool are a wonderufl peace of mind...
Hope this helps you...
