Long wait for simple service?

Makes sense to me...
When you think about it, Audi's sales have tripled over the past 3 years or so... I don't see the number of service bays tripling or the number of technicians tripling. I assume that they'll catch up eventually.

IMHO...this is normal for some NorCal Audi dealers
I have actually had to wait 3 weeks for something that was way more important than a 7,500 mile service. It is annoying...I agree. But for an oil change I don't think you should get as concerned as you seem to be. Now, If I have a wheel bearing going out...and then they tell me to wait 3.5 weeks...I will find another dealer to do the work faster.

Normal here in VA...
and, anyway, I personally don't mind scheduling an appointment 2 weeks in advance. If there is a major fault (like when my check engine light came on) my dealer just took the car in that day, no questions asked. So, when something that isn't very important (oil changes don't need to be "on the nose") like an oil change is coming up, schedule it. Be happy you can schedule it and the service isn't "first come, first served" like other brands. Then, there is the possibility you leave your car and it doesn't get worked on!

I called my dealer yesterday (Wed) and got an appt for Friday...
I probably could have gotten in today, but I'm taking Friday off anyway. I've never had to wait more than 3 days for an appt at McDonald Audi in Denver (even for a suspension install).
