Looks like another Quattro day in the Philly area!
...Weather service is calling for 3-5" of the fluffy stuff starting around 2:00 PM or so. Looking forward to my drive home :-)

It probably won't be a bad as the last one...
at least this time they *know* it's gonna snow, so penndot can do something...and I think everyone has the last one fresh in their minds...I expect my office will be empty by the time the 1st flake hits the pavement.

I agree.....
....that last storm was a fiasco, what a mess. I didn't appreciate my 6 hour drive home :-(
Once I see some minor accumulation, I'll be out the door today.

No no no...don't you see...
everyone else will be out the door, your ride home tonight will be fun-filled, because you won't have to deal with those people. Even the SUV crowd is a little squeamish after that last one!

Hmmm, interesting logic......
....so I should stay put and drive home later when no one else is out there. The only problem with that is, the roads will probably be clear and I'll miss all the fun :-(
I'll probably end up leaving a little after 4:00 or so. Don't want to miss out on all the fun ;-)

Actually, PennDOT is getting its snow act together
As a longtime driver in the Philly area and Northeastern Pa. generally, I have to grudgingly admit that PennDOT has gotten its act a bit more together with every passing year. Much of I-95 is now train plowed by private contractors who do a good job. PennDOT is increasingly using a pre-snow chemical mix on some of the major roads that it plows that has proven to be very effective this snow-heavy winter in the Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton area and in the Poconos. They ain't perfect, but our tax dollars seem to be put to better use these stormy winter days.
