loose accelerater pedle quest

any body with a b5 98 a4 1.8t have this problem maybe the way the car has always been but my acclerater peddle is very lose when you hit and let go fast there a lot of play

Your cable is binding...

they are not hard to change, and not to expensive, and the engine will be less prone to hang on to revs toward red line.
