Default Might be getting an M3, couple questions though

Ok so I sold my MTM SII a4 a few weeks ago and bought a 300zx N/A hoping it would be cheaper to maintain while in school and still be kinda fun to drive, I was WRONG, I am already selling it. So a guy I know is selling his M3 with 149K miles for 12,000 but the price is negotiable. What should I look for when I look at the car and what do you guys think I should offer him, the miles are the only thing that throws me off because the car is in really good shape. THANKS!

So you want something cheap to maintain and are considering an M3 w/ 149K miles?

Default no I dont want something cheap anymore, I dont care at this point.........

if cheap to maintain limits me to japanese cars than I dont want cheap. That is why I want to go back to a German car.

Default Year ago I was looking at a 95 M3 with 60k miles for $15k.. you can do a lot better than $12k

Personally.. I'd run away just because of the mileage.

Default that's high - read on...

my friend bought a 95 M3 this summer with 77K miles for 13500 (off ebay I believe). The car is beautiful and in great shape.

you can do better.

Default yeah, i'd be really cautious at that high of a mileage.

besides, $12k is really cheap for an e36 m3, although that mileage is really high.
