Motorvac service review (thanks to Skabaru and Yippers for the info)
My car went through the Motorvac service this weekend, a 1hr/$130 procedure that cleans your engine, fuel injection, combustion and exhaust system from the carbon build-up.
The symptoms I had before the service: louder than normal engine, slower than normal and rough acceleration, rough idling.
Well, it's all gone now! My 2.8 V6 with 84k miles on it now accelerates like a brand new car. Now I can really appriciate the advantages of smooth, even acceleration that the GIAC chip provides. The engine sounds more quite, and there is no more rough idling.
The only thing that my car still experiences is a little oscillation of the RPM needle at idle. I was told that it should go away in a few days. I have a question regarding this, at what RPM should our cars idle? Mine is idling between 725-750...
In short, if your car has high milage and you are experiencing the same symptoms, I recommend the service.
