my car is fixed and i believe I've set a new AW record! (newark, nj woohoo!)
yesterday aftrernoon my car survived its 4th break-in attempt - beat that! despite the fact that my doors have no keyholes anymore(plugged quite nicely) the thieves decided to just pry the handles anyway - just a screwdriver mark, not too ugly scratches. this is one disadvantage of having projector headlights - they think your car is a later model that seem to be easily stolen.
this happened not in my neighborhood but infront of the shop that worked on my car. the door that the goons worked on was the driverside which is on the street side(as opposed to the sidewalk side). i think stealing audi's is quite easy for these guys to try to break into a car in plain view.
my fault: i should have taught my mechanic how to use my hightech steering wheel lock =(
