n00b question about suspension setup
I just remembered i still have some Vogtland sport(?) springs(2.8Q) in storage that i was going to put on my 2.8Q but didn't because i never purchased some shocks to go with them. Now, years later, i still have them and have since purchased a 1.8Q.
Can i pair these with a set of bilstien sport springs w/o any srs issues? It seems to me it would just ride a tad harsh, but still soft compared to say, race springs.
am i just a total newb or is this do-able?
If not i'll just save for a bit and get some different (H&R?) springs, but I already have these Vogtland things sitting here...

You can probably find a buyer for your Vogtlands, then buy the correct springs for your car.
However, The weight difference isn't that great, so from a handling standpoint, you're probably okay. You will sit a little higher in the front than Vogtland intended and if your height isn't adjustable, you may not be happy with the look.
