Need advice with 96' remote
Remote was working but apparently battery died. Replaced battery in remote but it doesn't work. Is there a trick to get it going after replacing the battery. Do I need to re-synchronize something?

Re: You reprogrammed, with both your Keys?
Reprogrammed? I have only dealt with one of the remotes. One of them worked originally and one didn't. When the good one stopped working I replaced the battery but it didn't help.
I'm not sure what you mean by reprogramming.
Can I do this or do I need to go to a dealer?

You can do it....here we go:
1. You need your primary and spare ignition key for this....if you don't have a spare, go get one made. the dealer did mine for free.
2. Put the spare key in the ignition, turn the car on, but don't start the engine.
3. Get outta the car, close the door, and put your other key in the door, and lock using the other key.
4. Hold both buttons on the remote down for about 5 seconds...when the car unlocks, the remote is programmed.

no, didn't mean to sound sarcastic.. That just sounds like a complicated process to have to go throu
every time your battery dies. It's not something you would "Accidentally" figure out.. that's all I meant

Oh OK. Its like a riddle...easy once you've been thru it a few times.
Mine just stops working sometimes, I don't think its the battery. About once every 3 to 5 months I have to take a few minutes and reset it.
